A beautifully crafted alcohol-free winter cuvée, combining the depth of Bordeaux red wine with heritage pears, dark fruits and warming spices. A sophisticated alternative to traditional mulled wine.

Created by acclaimed German producer Jörg Geiger, Cuvée d’Hiver brings a distinctly vinous character to winter drinking. At its heart is gently dealcoholised Bordeaux red wine, blended with traditional perry pear wine, carefully selected fruit juices, botanicals and seasonal spices.

The result is a wonderfully layered, still winter cuvée with the structure and elegance of fine red wine. Rich dark-fruit flavours meet fragrant cinnamon, star anise and delicate floral notes, while vibrant acidity and finely integrated tannins provide balance and a lingering finish.

Unlike conventional mulled wine or sweet winter punch, Cuvée d’Hiver is designed to offer a more refined drinking experience, allowing the quality of the wine and fruit to shine through.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Deep ruby red.

Aroma: Inviting aromas of black cherry, elderberry and ripe plum, layered with dried herbs, star anise, cinnamon and a delicate hint of violet.

Palate: Smooth and velvety, with generous dark-fruit flavours, gentle winter spice and the subtle tannic structure of Bordeaux red wine. Fresh acidity and a mineral undertone bring elegance and length to the finish.

Food Pairing

A wonderful companion to hearty winter dishes, including slow-cooked beef, roasted mushrooms, lentil dishes and richly flavoured vegetarian meals. Equally enjoyable alongside a festive cheeseboard or simply sipped by the fire.

Serving Suggestions

Best enjoyed gently warmed to approximately 55–60°C, without boiling, to preserve its delicate fruit and spice aromas. Serve in a heatproof glass or mug.
