A New Home for Premium Wine, Without Alcohol.

When we started Vino Zero, the idea was simple: to help people discover genuinely great wine, without alcohol.

At the time, finding high-quality non-alcoholic wine in the UK wasn’t actually that easy. The category was still relatively young, and many of the wines that were available simply didn’t deliver the kind of quality, complexity, or experience that wine lovers (like us) were looking for.

So we set out to change that.

Over the past couple of years, something quite special has happened. Through the producers we work with, the hospitality partners we collaborate with, and the community of customers who continue to explore the category with us, Vino Zero has grown into something much bigger than we first imagined.

And somewhere along the way, we realised something rather important....

Vino Zero had quietly become the home for premium wines, without alcohol.

That’s both an honour and a responsibility, and it’s something we take seriously. So, with that in mind, we felt our website should truly reflect this.

Which is why, over the past few weeks, we’ve been working quietly behind the scenes to build something new.

Why We Rebuilt our Website

When we first launched Vino Zero, the website did exactly what we needed it to do. It helped us introduce a handful of wines we loved and connect them with people who were curious about exploring alcohol-free options.

But the category has evolved quickly — and so have we.

We now represent a growing portfolio of producers who are pushing the boundaries of what alcohol-free wine can be. We speak with customers every day who are discovering the category for the first time, and we work closely with hospitality teams who want to offer something thoughtful and high quality to their guests.

Our old website simply wasn’t designed for the scale or ambition of what Vino Zero has become. So we decided to rebuild it, from the ground up.

Improving the Experience

One of our main goals was to improve the overall shopping experience for our valued customers.

We wanted the website to feel simpler, more elegant, and easier to navigate — helping people find what they’re looking for without feeling overwhelmed. Whether someone is completely new to alcohol-free wine or already familiar with the category, the aim was to make exploring the range intuitive and enjoyable.

We also invested in entirely new product photography. High-quality wines deserve to be presented beautifully, and we wanted the images on the site to reflect the care, craftsmanship, and premium nature of the products we work with.

Alongside this, we introduced a new AI-powered personal shopping assistant (something I have truly 'geeked' out on).

This tool has been trained by me — Vino Zero’s in-house sommelier — using our tasting notes, product knowledge, and the insights we’ve gathered from years of conversations with customers and hospitality partners. It helps guide customers through our range, answering questions and offering recommendations based on taste, style, and occasion.

I like to think of it as the digital/online equivalent of walking into a great wine shop and asking for some friendly advice and suggestions.

Go ahead, give it a try, and let me know what you think!

Better Product Information

Another big focus was improving the way each product is presented.

We’ve upgraded every product page with clearer, more helpful information — including quick-glance flavour and aroma icons, expanded tasting notes, and deeper background on the wines themselves.

We’ve also added practical guidance we often share during tastings: food pairing suggestions, ideal serving temperatures, glassware recommendations, and even when a wine might benefit from a little time to decant.

In many ways, the goal was simple: to bring more of the sommelier experience online. Because for us, wine is all about experience - and we wanted that to start the moment you clicked on our website.

Sharing the Stories Behind the Wines

We also wanted to give more space to the producers we work with.

Behind every bottle is a team of people — winemakers, founders, innovators — who have invested enormous effort into pushing the boundaries of quality in alcohol-free wine.

So we’ve expanded the producer sections of the website to share more about who they are, where the wines come from, and the philosophy behind their work.

Wine has always been about connection — between place, producer, and the people who enjoy it. Helping customers understand those stories is something that really matters to us.

Expanding the Range

At the same time, the Vino Zero range continues to grow.

We’ve recently added new producers such as the Studio Italiano range, alongside other carefully selected wines that reflect the increasing diversity and quality within the category.

We’ve also created more pre-selected tasting bundles to make discovery easier. For many people, exploring alcohol-free wine is still a journey, and these curated selections allow customers to experience different styles and producers without needing to know exactly what they’re looking for from the start.

Improvements Behind the Scenes

Not all the improvements are visible on the surface.

Behind the scenes we’ve also upgraded a number of operational systems, including improved fulfilment integrations, smarter automation, and better logistics connectivity with our warehouse partners.

These upgrades help ensure orders are processed more efficiently, stock information stays accurate, and deliveries move through the system smoothly.

Most customers will never see these changes directly — but they make a real difference to the speed and reliability of the service we’re able to provide. And that matters to us, a lot.

What’s Coming Next

While launching the new website is a big step, we’re (obviously) not stopping there...

Over the coming months we’ll be introducing a new customer loyalty programme — something we’ve wanted to build for a long time as a way of saying a big thank you to the people who continue to support Vino Zero and explore this exciting category of wine with us.

We’re also working on a dedicated trade ordering portal for our hospitality and business partners. This will make it much easier for restaurants, bars, hotels and retailers to browse the range, place orders, and access useful product information.

Both of these developments are part of the same goal that guided the new website: making it easier for people — whether customers or trade partners — to discover, access, and enjoy premium wine without alcohol.

A Privilege We Don’t Take Lightly

Being trusted by both producers and customers in this category is something we never take for granted.

The producers we work with are among the most exciting innovators in the space. They’re pushing boundaries in quality, technique, and creativity, and our role is to represent them well and connect their work with people who will truly appreciate it.

For us, that’s a privilege.

And it’s one of the reasons we wanted the new website to feel like a proper home for these wines.

Just the Beginning

Launching the new website feels like an important milestone for Vino Zero — but in many ways, it’s only the beginning.

The world of alcohol-free wine is evolving quickly. Producers are continuing to innovate, new styles and regions are emerging, and more people than ever are discovering that great wine without alcohol is not only possible, but genuinely exciting.

We feel incredibly fortunate to work with the producers we do, and to be trusted by customers who come to us to discover these wines.

Our goal remains the same as when we started: to showcase the very best wines in this category, and to help more people experience just how good they can be.

If the new website helps even a few more people discover their next favourite wine without alcohol, then all the work behind the scenes will have been worth it.
