LONDON CALLING

This past week, I had the pleasure of judging for three incredible days at the World Alcohol-Free Awards 2025 in London. Huge admiration and appreciation go out to the entire team and fellow judges for delivering an event that truly does justice to this rapidly growing and innovative category. The professionalism and passion of the organizers were evident throughout, making the entire experience feel seamless, exciting, and genuinely fun. I was thrilled to be part of it.

The World Alcohol-Free Awards 2025 recently wrapped up a spectacular three-day event in London, marking the third year of this pioneering competition. I was honored to serve as a judge at this groundbreaking event. For Vino Zero, being part of a gathering that highlights innovation and quality within the alcohol-free category was both inspiring and invigorating. And, let’s face it, slightly exhausting—but in the best possible way.

A Showcase of Global Talent and Diversity

The competition attracted producers from all over the world, showcasing a stunning range of beverages—from sparkling wines and spirits to beers and imaginative alternatives. The meticulous categorization process ensured each drink was judged fairly within its intended style, emphasizing the importance of accurate and thoughtful evaluation. It’s incredible to see how much creativity and craftsmanship is being poured into the alcohol-free space. And the best part? So much of it tastes genuinely amazing!

Consumers are clearly craving sophisticated, health-conscious options. Non-alcoholic spirits alone grew by 29% in 2024, with non-alcoholic wines and beers following closely behind. Functional ingredients, like adaptogens and botanicals, are increasingly popular, providing unique flavor profiles and wellness benefits. With new alcohol-free bottle shops popping up globally, accessibility is expanding like never before. Industry analysts are even predicting the global alcohol-free market to hit $30 billion by 2025. Clearly, this isn’t a temporary trend—it’s a true movement!

Connecting with Industry Leaders

One of the most rewarding aspects of the event was meeting and collaborating with other experts in the alcohol-free sector. Sharing perspectives, learning from their experiences, and exchanging ideas was not only enlightening but also motivating. The global nature of the competition truly sets it apart—creating a powerful network of people who share the same passion for alcohol-free excellence.

What This Means for Vino Zero

For Vino Zero, participating in the World Alcohol-Free Awards was a reaffirmation of our commitment to offering the best alcohol-free beverages to our customers in the UK. Being involved in this event helps us stay at the forefront of the industry—really understanding the beverage category, from the exciting trends to the standout products. We’re thrilled to continue bringing you the very best in alcohol-free beverages! (Also, I've probably tasted more drinks in three days than most people do in three years. And the jet lag? Let's just say I may have judged an oat milk latte by mistake at one point.)

Congratulations to all involved, it was a huge success!

And I’m already excited for next year's event!

Cheers,

AlexFounder, Vino Zero
